Challenged to train a global production and clerical workforce deployed (without personal computers) in more than 400 locations across 42 countries, Alcoa turned to VisionPoint. The objective: to instill ethical decision making throughout the organization using easy-to-facilitate, quick-hit classroom training with short, flexible agendas.

VisionPoint delivered eight downloadable video-based training modules in 17 languages. Each stand-alone, 25-minute module consisted of PowerPoint slides, embedded video, dubbed audio and facilitator notes. Plants worldwide downloaded the modules in just minutes from Alcoa's intranet. Each site selected the language and subject matter most relevant to them.

Combining existing video with customized materials reduced development time and enabled Alcoa to meet an ambitious timeline of approximately 90 days for deployment. Feedback verified that training achieved its goal of significantly increasing employee awareness about how and why ethical behavior is critical to Alcoa's long-term success.
